Just stop it, if someone agrees with Ephialtes; tough beans. You'll need an actual reason to engage in an argument with them, for example "Person A agrees with Ephi and banned me from a server, all because I don't agree with him!". Personal attacks and dismissive responses are the lowest you can possibly achieve.
Making statements up will never work, and if you catch someone contradicting themselves in a post; then quote it and explain yourself. Don't just tell someone "wow you're a hypocrite", you just make yourself look dumber by not proving you know the definition of the word. If you think you can make a personal gain out of calling someone a "roosterahollic" because they don't support the thread's creator, then you really are a tool.
