Author Topic: Imposter in IRC.  (Read 5083 times)

I generally don't believe in the creation of drama topics for any reason. But I suppose this is the exception.

A day ago a friend of mine informed me that my IRC wasn't working. Upon checking, I found that it had reset my name to "Guest10394". I quickly disconnected and reconnected, moments later I found that it once again changed it. I typed /nick Rykuta, and found that Apparently NickServ has a registered user under that name.

Since "Rykuta" is a fairly original name, and I haven't seen it used as any user anywhere that isn't related in some way to me. I can only assume this user to be a troll, or a very coincidental situation.

Either way, I just feel it necessary to say that any interactions between this "imposter" do not reflect my opinions or ideas. And this "imposter" should not be treated as me.

For those of you who feel "HAHA U DESERVE THIS". To start, you are starfishs. Secondly, I don't care about your opinion on the matter. I simply want to inform you that it isn't me.

(Feel free to bump the topic as much as you like though, keep it on the front page for me, kthx)

people on irc want to be you so they can think they can be like you  :cookieMonster:

Why would anyone want to pretend to be Iban?

Man, think about what you're doing for a second. It's loving IRC.

People impersonate everyone.
