Does terragen work as a map creation program? It saves .ter files, and i haven't looked into how to make a map yet so i don't know how to make one.
I'm planning on making a map if it works, and when i learn how.

The free version of Terragen is mainly used to make skies. You should also be able to export a heightmap from it which you can import into the mission editor to sculpt the terrain for you. Terragen isn't used to make terrain very often that I know of. If terragen won't do it there's plenty of programs that will make hieghtmaps for you, there's probably even a photoshop plugin for it.
