Author Topic: Is this laptop good enough for *some* gaming?  (Read 2318 times)

Is this laptop good enough for some gaming? Like Oblivion blockland world of warcraft, and stuff like TF2 or Gmod? I know it probably isnt some Super gaming laptop(cause it costs less than $1000... =P) but will it do some gaming?

No.  A celeron will only really run BL.  It will never run Oblivion.

Not even on lowest settings?

NO! Celerons suck richard.
Even if you have the system requirements for games with that, the Celeron would make it not work.

A 2.2GHz of any type of single core processor won't run Oblivion or TF2. It would maybe run Half Life 2 at complete lowest.

You also say "Some gaming" but talk about Oblivion and TF2. Those are games that take a somewhat decent computer.

Do you want suggestions? (With a price range)

Can someone tell me
the cheapest computer that will run oblivion and stuff?
the cheapest computer that is okay, if not great for gaming?

I wish I didn't have a price limit but I'm 15, my parents keep promising allowance but when I actually do stuff they say to do I never get any money. And they will probably only go from 300 to 400 dollars for a new laptop for me. But the thing is, I really want a laptop to use for gaming.

Who the forget buys an intel based computer with a single core processor.

Even macs don't do that.

Are these any good?

• Intel Pentium Dual-Core processor T4300
• 3GB OF RAM WITH 320GB Hard Drive
• Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
• Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M

That's why I can play L4D on my old 1.1GHz Athlon single core.

If your price range is less than $1000 get this.

Oh my god I want one of those.

lol@big fat loving 'yes' to windows 7

honestly, if you want to use it go ahead if you've got the memory/ram/whatever the forget, but at least keep a backup of XP just in case.

I have a Celeron. Don't get it. It sucks richard.
