my goodness, you kids need to read up.
Paralysis is the yellow bolts, while Electricity is blue. You can tell this easily when you're hit with paralysis; You can't do anything. While thunder blight doesn't leave you terribly off, you only have blue sparks around you like dragon blight, and you get knocked out easier.

You upgrade till you get it, or you get the awaken skill with Lagicrus Plus armor or the Ceadeus set.

I finally captured that lagiacrus :D It was quite difficult though. Not the fight itself, it was pretty easy surprisingly, but I couldn't spot it's limp too well, so I had to make him limp away 2 times before I heard the moan he was making, which confirmed it was cap time. I set up a shock trap underwater and friend royal ludroth came over and decided to use it >:c. Then I placed another shock trap, and lagi ran away. I tried to place another trap in the area he ran to, but only 1 shock trap at a time. Luckily, he limped over back into the other trap :D

Then I found out I could make thunderclap but I need dragonite ore, and I used all of my dragonite ore to make my ingot armor :\

And I got a rusty shard, and it made a really accomplishing sound when I got it, and i didn't see it in my inventory when I finished the quest. Can't that shard be used to make some weird rusty sword?

Volcano. Round rocks with green-tinted circles give the most dragonite, plain round rocks give some, and rocks with symbols burned into them that are kind of orange don't have a lot of dragonite.

For starters, make sure you sent it to your box the same way you do charms. Second, you need a buttload of rare and eventually high-rank materials to really upgrade it. They all have dragon and are (relatively) absurdly powerful.

It does dragon damage for stuff that's weak to dragon? durrrrrrr.

Right, because paralysis skill does damage for stuff that's weak to paralysis? durrr yourself, it wasn't obvious. I don't read the MH3 wiki for hours every day -.-

Actually, paralysis does cause baby amounts of damage to stuff with low paralysis resistance. This is just logic and what I remember from previous games.
Also, game time. I beat the Ceadeus, so nothing but online here.
