Author Topic: What's a good graphics card for gaming?  (Read 2225 times)

I want to get something that will be able to run Minecraft at 100+ FPS. Currently, my average of 16 is not good enough. Please suggest. Budget around $420.

is a geforce 6100 good?

I just use the nVidia 8400 GS, I don't get 100+ FPS on Minecraft but I get a usual 40+. It only cost me ~60 USD at Best Buy. It does all I really need it to do. But you have a much larger budget than me :o

An either Nvidia GTX 470 or an Nvidia GTX 480 (What I have)

Although, I haven't tested the FPS on minecraft.

Could also probably be RAM, Motherboard, Harddrive, lololol

You can do 3d vision surround :c.

Also I got a Geforce 210 for like 80 bucks. But now they're like 50. I can get good FPS with L4D2 with AA on.

Hey, I'd be loving delighted with it being cheap.

Also, what spec's do you guys want me to show, just to make sure it's not my graphics card :s

This kid thinks you can plop one of those in any computer and have it work.

:o I have a GTS 250, and it does pretty darn well. Make sure you get the right power supply or you'll fry your computer!

Ram:
3072MB

Hard Drive:
C: (NTFS)   296546 MB (185026 MB free)

Motherboard:
CPU Type   Intel Pentium III Xeon, 2933 MHz (6 x 489)

Processor:

I use a EVGA 8600 GS PCI, only becuase it fits and has 512MB. I can't use PCI-E. :(

It does pretty well on XP though.
