What Xx7xX said, except for one thing. The producers WANTED blood, but they couldn't get it, so they did the Jell-0 thing and CNN got pissed off and canceled the show.

Well, another example is Bloody Gir, which was a disturbing image the creators put in places to freak out children with the ability to slow down their TVs :P.
