Author Topic: Kung Zhu pets  (Read 3519 times)

Holy crap. Major business tactics going on here. The makers of, "Zhu zhu pets" The handicapped tiny cloth covered robots that run around in circles have thought of a brilliant idea.

"Oh my god, our product only markets to girls. Let's give these little pieces of crap some weapons and armor and market them to boys"

And the Kung Zhu pets were born.

As hilarious this idea is... Pretty good idea though. Funny how people look at marketting like this.

Gives me the idea, someone should dress up a carebear with nunchucks and samurai armor and you get an easy 5 million dollars.

Discuss your own interesting market ideas.

Haha. My 4 year old sister has a Zhu Zhu pet. I've never seen these before though.

I thought they were already marketed for boys even in their original fourm?

Because I thought I saw some boys in the Zhu Zhu Pets commercials.

What boy would buy a product that is a cute hamster that runs around in circles. Sounds like a product made for 6 year old girls to me.

But I guess the boys in the commercial were a prior marketting technique to go to boys. Similar to how in Cabbage Patch kids commercials they put boys hugging them in an attempt to make them look like they are for boys too.

What's the world coming to?
I don't want to have to tell my grandchildren, "When I was your age, all of my pets were actual living things! Not these convoluted robots."

I don't count battery cells and a modified servo motor as convoluted.

Hampsters with miniguns. Hue

they were only trying to get more interest by saying that "boys can play to"!

I have some,They suck

I'd love a Chuck Norris and a Bruce Lee Kung Zhu pet.

made with extra lead

I know!

Someone should take all the male Barbie dolls, sew them little military outfits, give them plastic weapons, and then give them a good name. How about... G.I. John?

We put a massive plastic wang on the front of the hamster, give it only forward and backward control, and market it to special interestists.
