Author Topic: FPS MEGATOPIC  (Read 2253 times)

I've never been a big fan of fps games, I play ones with interesting sci-fi story lines(I enjoy the Half-Life Series and the halo series). I also have taken a liking to tf2 due to its cartoony graphics and fun gameplay.

Halo 3 is really fun with friends in custom games. Especially with all the custom maps and gamemodes.

Blame the player, not the game.  It's just that people now play standard deathmatch games only so when there's an objective, people do what they do best/worst: just kill eachother.
you can blame the game.

bf2 dont even allow 1 useless guy to ruin the team.
even if all the players on your team are new and absolutely suck, they will win if even half of them are actually going to the objective and following the commander player's relays.

bf:bc2 is more of a coop game then a real "multiplayer" one. and you have to highly depend on every last person on your team to win.
most players just go for kills rather then objective. its a console-shooter mentality for sure.

bad company removed the epic from shooter. a console-spinoff of a great series, lacking everything.
its not even half the game that bf2 is.

Why does everyone hate console shooters, I see nothing wrong with them.

MAG is fun.

i played halo about 14 years ago, it was called quake then.
and i see it hasn't changed at all lol

grab biggest gun, and jump! jump! jump!
respawn jump! jump!

But it's fun shooting people. :(

And about how you can't aim very well on consoles because of controllers, I can aim just fine with auto aim turned off.

because the cross-hairs are like 4 inches wide on your screen. the guns on consoles always have this huge spray range.
its like this for every game. even the console versions of multi platform ones. altered for stufftiness.

PC versions have that little dot, cant even see it most times.
they force you to be dead on.
so no dancing around like any idiot reloading for the 6th time.

the first MW me and my brother both had. he had 360 i play on my pc.
the score needed to end any game on the pc was twice as much compared to console.
the games were designed so differently to make up for the failures of using a gamepad.
i would watch every player on his game strafe around each other like this was some early 90s fast shooter. so humorous and made me sick.

bleh, that's true i guess

it's still fun though, games like the N64 Perfect Dark port for 360

they need to port goldeneye i think. i miss that game

Reloading is a good thing.
You go into a fight against 3 people with only 1 bullet loaded into your shotgun.
Tell me how successful that would be.

Sure I reload too much in a lot of games but sometimes it's really important to reload.

the point on reloading is, on consoles, every pro player still plays by going full auto when face to face with even 1 enemy.
you need usually more then a clip to kill any one person.
when you are dead on 1 shot accurate, you dont even need more then 1 bullet.
so one skilled player really could take on the entire team at once.

they are for wii
