Everyone's "morality core" develops differently, but generally it's all good. Sometimes, it doesn't develop correctly, and that creates sociopaths, psychopaths, murderers, serial killers, and child killers who have absolutely no remorse for what they do and can see their own actions as justified.

  I agree completely. People like that need to be located and fixed.

The only good things about his death is that he won't have to go through that pain anymore, and that he won't grow up as a psychopath. Tests (although brutal and unfair) were done. It was discovered that children that are abused are more likely to grow up as killers and psychopaths than children that are loved.
