You've got to understand that RTB is not just an add-on like all the rest. It's a community tool that bolts onto Blockland. Notice how we have an RTB Listings section of the forums. Do you think you're going to see a "BC Listings" section? This is Blockland, a small ~20,000 player game with an even smaller active community. Do you
really think it makes sense to have multiple community add-ons for so few people? Imagine another steam with the same games - wouldn't it suck having to have both installed somehow so you could talk to all your friends that play those games?
If Kalphiter managed to overcome his own inadequacies and release this in a few years time (note it took about 2 years for RTB to get to where it's at now, and that was without code theft) then do you really want a situation where half the players are on one chat system and half on the other? It's ridiculous, again.
Go a few pages back and you'll see Wedge's post on why having multiple community tools the size of RTB is a bad idea.
Is this what you're talking about?
Looks like one of the discussions we've had on it. There have been a bunch more if you care to find them.
