Now, i had made a map around September of '09 and my computer was compromised, so i had to restore everything. But one of my friends had the .ter and the .ml files of the map. Is there any way how i can recover the map by these 2 files?

Not enTIRELY, however you can use the .ter file for your terrian.

.ml is lighting and .ter is terrain.
Those two alone won't help much, however you could recreate it with the .ter. You can get rid of the .ml.

The .ter file IS the terrain.
The best way to make a new blank map with just terrain, save it, put your old terrain back into it, restart Blockland, then make the map again.

Problem solved, it seems that one of the editor files went corrupt.
