Dropship....with gravity gun?

Is it possible to make a dropship that uses the Gravity Guns "projectile" to pick up vehicles and hold them? If so, could someone make one?

Well, the pilot could, he just drives over a vehicle and fires the gravitygun to pick it up, obviously, the projectiles would be aimed down.

Kinda like Alien Abduction idea?

I don't think his aim would be all that good, given that he can't see below the ship unless he's in 3rd person. Oh, and what would the range on this thing be?

The B17 Add-On has the option to look downfor bombing.  Why shouldn't this have the same thing?
