Uh, I have a gun here, my dad thinks it's an air soft gun but I'm not fully convinced. their website "Happens" to have knives for sale and this gun doesn't have an orange top like a lot of them. I am not very good when it comes to guns, the most I know about them is in games, so can someone please tell me if the Sig Sauer company does indeed make air soft guns...

Post a picture silly. And see if the magazine takes bullets or airsoft pellets. If theres a little round hole of course it won't take bullets

Real gun company + makes toy guns = no

Real gun company + makes toy guns = no

Yea, except the difference is I don't know any gun companies.

Edit, also don't have a camera to take a real pic, so i'll take one from their site.

Sig Sauer does make real weapons.
And Nick, I've heard of some companies making airsoft guns, but I don't remember which ones.

I'm afraid to give this to my little brother who has been asking for it now xD.

No weapons manufacturers produce airsoft guns. Airsoft manufacturers buy the brand names for their guns, however.

It should be obvious if it's a real gun. If the barrel has a bore, it is a real gun. Open the breech and look inside (pull back on the slide after removing the magazine).
It'd be helpful if you provide pictures.

Also Sig Sauer does NOT produce airsoft guns.

If the barrel has twisting striations like this, it is a firearm.

Also, wouldn't the magazine have visible rounds or anything?

Except for the fact that I can't post pictures because I have no camera, and I have no idea what you told me to do because I have no experience at all with guns.

Ty for the edit Yuki, it's not real.
Also Marcem, the gun doesn't have ammo in it, otherwise I wouldn't have posted this at all.

Not if the mag isn't loaded.

This, you should be able to tell if the magazine takes 6mm pellets or whatever caliber bullets.
