Author Topic: Oblivion RPG [WIP]  (Read 3451 times)

Hello everyone.....(again...)

****I think this may be in the wrong forum, please move it to the correct one if it can****

**Few Things*
Since im on a laptop (at the moment) The graphics quality is "Incredible" so it looks much better on a real computer, there are a lot if lighting effects.

---
This is the Jail, as in your first spawn point, and the area for the first Player Jail
---

---
And this is the room that you spawn in EveryTime
---

****
Ok, so heres the deal with the spawn room, When its your first time here, you will be directed towards the indented "window like thing" in the wall, the bottom flashes now since alot of people ended up leaving since they couldn't find it. And you will be brought through the tutorial to minimize any annoying questions.

What happens if you die in the Tutorial? simple, you respawn in the same room, click on the flashing brick, and all the Chest variables that keep you from using one twice are reset (Aside from the one that gives you money)

In general, once you complete the Tutorial you are given a variable that is loaded every time you join, and it disables your use of the tutorial.

When you finish the tutorial, you are directed to save your progress at the Inn. When you rejoin you will be brought to the Inn that you last saved at, since there will be more citys in the future.

The Bounty System

This game features a completed Bounty System, In which, if you do anything Illegal you will be chased down by any of the many guards in the citys (I.E. Attacking Innocents or guards, Stealing(not done),Lock picking(not done))

Not only will they come after you (Guards will only chase you in specific occasions)but you will gain a Bounty which is displayed on your screen. The bounty is actually a Time for how long you will spend in jail if you come into contact with a guard.

While you serve your time you will have your items saved and removed until you are released. But, you can risk increasing your time (currently by 2 minuets) to snatch the jail key from the guard by typing -steal and clicking on the jail guard as he passes by.

---
Jail Guard
---

If you do get the key you can click on the lock and you will be released, regain all your items, and gain about 3 more minuets of Bounty (the guards will not chase you, cuse ur sneeky)

But if you fail (theres a 1 in 5 chance youll get it) he will give you 2 more minuets of jail time and you will not have another chance to snatch the key until you are released.

***
If you fail, or you choose not to extend the length of you visit, just lay in a bed that is not occupied by another person and watch the clock tick

The Tutorial\The Escape

***
In the tutorial you will be given multiple Okmessage boxes to get the point across about several key points of the game, along with some gold and weapons.

ADMIRE THIS BUILD :p (Built by Steels12)
***

***
Again, this build look alot better when the lighting effects are on high
***

***
The well is drinkable and gives you 25+ HP infinitely (for those who need some help with the creatures and do some clickin around)
***

***
Things start gettin Juicy in here
***

!----!
RATS!
!----!

***
Currently, these are the rats. Someone should make some actual rats :p
But for now i need someone to edit the damage on the "Fists" Weapon, because they currently kick your bum
***

***
OMGBBQ!
ZOMBEH!!

For those of you that play Oblivion IV, you will remember this
(Again, in need of weapon edits)
***

***
Looks like your stop
***

***
How did i squeeze through that?
***

---------------
The First town (I think we decided this was anvil)
---------------

***
This is a good view of what done, the inn, and several houses
***

***
The Inn is just about fully functional, but we may add a few more things.
When you talk to Morty (The guy at the Front Desk) it will tell you how to interact with him.

Currently you can use -buy room To buy a room and Save your progress (You are prompted by an OkMessage box after exiting the Tutorial) After you do this you are able to use the Red Button in the spawn room to teleport you here.

and -buy drink To buy a drink and heal 25 health for i think 3 Gold

Upstairs in Inn
***

***
In the Building thats in a straight line from the gate is the first Quest, where you help O'Connle out of his predicament.

Poor O'Connle.....
***

***
This is Henry, and he starts one of the Longer Quests in this town called Destructive Thinking.

And yes he is INSIDE of a building, (actually his house) and that reminds me of something to say.
***

!----!
Doors
The doors in this game were Evented by Jim and Steels12 (since i have no idea how to work doors :p) And they imitate the doors in Oblivion, they only close if you close them, otherwise they will remain open, along with the fact that NPC's can open and close doors
!----!

The Weapon Shop called Steels Swords [WIP]

Well....

Thats all i have to show at the moment, the Leveling system is still being put together along with annoying fact that the OnBotKilled Input only works 20% of the time (Annoys the crap outta me SOMEONE FIX IT)

Other than that, tell me what you can do to help, as ive said in another post, i would love to have a Backpack GUI kinda thing (not really sure what to call it but it hink i kinda got it)

So..... Feedback? Questions? Input?

Let it all out

*!--------------UpDates--------------!*

#- We changed the loading system so everything Loads OnMiniGameJoin and Saves OnMiniGameLeave.

#- I think i found an edited BotEvents script that works, if you have a working one that is not Bugged, i need.

#- Were working on the theft system, which uses variables to make a chance that you will get an item by typing -steal from stores, and itll be more likely the higher your Thieving level.

i saw this on rtb, awesome

second post

And?

im not sure if your being sarcastic or saying that making a second post for this development on another website is stupid.

I need to get the word out and get some help with some issues.

Very nice building. Brick count?

somewhere around 15K with everything loaded

Nice! I like how accurate it is!

wow, nice!
8/10

What are you doing?

Rating a game based upon WIP images and descriptions of how they work?
Or are you just giving a quick response to insert yourself into this thread?

Yah your just spamming

GTFO

Unless this is a script, it belongs in gallery. This section is for modifications to the game, and unless you have an oblivion script being worked on, it doesn't belong here. But it does look nice so far.

im rating the build for its first impression

I was thinking that once i saw the Gallery, this is where people post there WIP games on RTB so i figured it would be fine putting it here

And i put a message saying this may be wrong, and im aware of it.

Thanks, i finally started really working on it again rather than trying to find a super overcomplicated way to do a level system, now all i need is Terrain builders, anyone game?

Cant wait to get this <3
