3.5/5 for me as well.

Tom

I pay for 20 mbps, heres what I really get. (Comcast)
You probably pay for UP TO 20 mbps.

I have Verizon FiOs and it's not even the best package they have.
Honestly Comcast has stuff customer service. If your internet or TV breaks then you have to call up Bon Qui Qui or some black fat girl in the Customer Service center which seems to be either in New Orleans or Baltimore. We've had multiple customer service calls to them and every time it was a huge hassle.

I think we have a 20mbps download and a 15mbps upload, and it works great for hosting in Blockland. TF2 can host fine but above 8 players you'll start seeing lag for everyone unless you go for the higher up plans which allow like 50mbps down and 25mbps up.

Steam downloads at 3.6mb/s mostly and at one point even went to 4.1mb/s.

Protip: Don't game/download on wireless

On the other hand I have comcast and I get 30mb/s but I only get about 180kb/s when I'm on wireless between my nephew/sister/sister's fiance playing xbox on wireless as well. Xfinity is well worth it, heard really great reviews.
I can only use wireless.  the nearest ethernet port is across my room, where my desk doesn't fit.

Are you saying your internet sucks? I've gotten ping in TF2 in the 900s. In other words, I could hardly move. Also, Blockland lags for me quite a bit. Ugh

o.0, mine's a bit weird, I have a high upload speed compared to most of you but a fail dl speed.

Retested

Yeah, comcast's cable really sucks.  One of our boxes rarely works, and it's on the most used tv in the house.

If most of you people are getting around 1-7, how come some people get 100 mbps?

Download some internet

Hooray for me:

I thought there was only one Internet

Lol, can't do a speed test near me anymore.  It just shoots up and slowly returns to zero on downloading.  (Unless the server is from across the world, of course.)

Tried another server (amazingly, quite close to me worked):
