So I was discussing IQs with my grandma the other day and she said that when my dad was my age (around 15) he took an IQ test and scored in the 140's. Her other son, my uncle, scored in the high 130's. I saw a chart online of just how high that is and it's above superior.
My dad is very smart in all subjects, he is a web developer and can pick up a book on most any code, read it and know how to do it. Same with my uncle.
My grandma seems to think that I have the smarts like they do but I can't find a place to take an IQ test without paying for it or other dumb stuff.
When my dad was 15, he also took a test on "Discover What You're Good At" and it divided up your general knowledge into various categories, like Numerical, Clerical, Logic, Business and a few others. My dad scored superior in Clerical and Logic, and when I took it, I got a high superior in Logic. It would be a superior score for a high school Junior or Senior and I just finished my Freshman year.
I also had a very high score in the Clerical category, as did my dad.
I'm recently discovering the men in my family are very, very smart. :P
Discuss.
