Author Topic: Lalam Mad about no swearing rule  (Read 5462 times)

I never knew most of you people were 10.

But really, I hate it when the host puts the rule in their server title. Just put it in the greeting or if you have it the spawning message and I'll follow it. I for one don't enforce a no swearing rule in my server, since I might not be able to host...

I think it's fair enough to enforce a no swearing rule on your server. The curse filter doesn't catch them all, anyway. I regularly enforce a no swearing rule on Badspot's Block Party server just to provide a relatively safe environment for younger players to enjoy. I don't think it's unreasonable at all.
Enforcing it at a constant is outrageous.  I used "forget" to emphasize a concept, not to insult or anything relative.  Sure, if someone throws out a cuss word to purposely offend, that should be a bannable offense.  However, with this, it's offending only by the nitpicked generalized standard of "CUSSING IS WRONG!"

When I'm simply throwing the word into a sentence, I do not expect someone to go apestuff and ban me on impulse, as opposed to giving me a warning, or even justifying why they were offended to begin with.

You're in the right to enforce a no swearing rule block_cop. Hate to say it kiddie but ther are other adjectives to express yourself with. Although he should have an etard filter enabled to prevent people from swearing. That way if anyone is in need of swearing and gets around the filter then can be banned.

Arguing with lalam is just a dumb idea. Everything is a perception of an opinion with him lol. So u got trolld

People who purposely try to get around the filter should be banned, yes.  I made a comment that included a word that had simply come up to them as "****," so, ultimately, I was banned for what appeared to be stars.

And, loser, I'm simply sick of people always abiding by common standards.  I understand opinions and how some moral aspects are required to forge several points, but, this rule is just absolutely outrageous.

I was simply arguing it.  In fact, my topic was about his poor justification, rather than the swearing concept alone.

complaining about how someone prefers to run their server is like all the past examples of complaining about how someone prefers to type.

i really don't know what is wrong with you people who think it's bad To Type Like This or putting a no swearing rule on their server, hence 'their.'

honestly you all flip over the silliest things.
This is completely different.  If you're going to use a language, use it properly.  It's that simple.

It's obvious this guy is beyond the point of no return. It's too late for me to try and save him. :C
Um who?

Then he has to f***me of irc.
You censored yourself for no good reason.
You're handicapped in my book.

You censored yourself for no good reason.

You're handicapped in my books.

I do the same at servers that have that rule  :cookieMonster:

I hate censorship.

It is really stupid, such as censoring "bad words."

forget, stuff, ass, and bitch are words that normal people say every loving day. Blocking them or hiding them from the general public on the media is like blocking reality. My parents swear, who gives a stuff, everyone does. If you are thirteen and you are trying to "protect yourself" from swear words, you are a loving dumbass.
I remember my mom looking I've my sholder while everybody was swearing. She didn't care.

Maybe you should escape the shelter you have made bro, you are ignoring the world.
