Author Topic: Good Movie Editing Software?  (Read 2001 times)

I'm tired of WMM. Can anyone give an advice on what program to use? Don't say Adobe Premiere Pro. I want it to be cheap or free, easy to use, but still be capable of making good movies (i.e. effects, many sounds at once, etc.)

Just tried MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 15 Plus Trial, but there wasn't even a decent timeline. In fact, there was no timeline. I couldn't add any sounds right... it just sucked.

Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10.0

There's a trial which I thought was only 30 days but it doesn't seem to be counting down or running out. I'm going to buy it anyway, to get some of the things that come with it. $94 for program alone, $124 for program and some additional software/files.

If you want something completely free, you could try Wax. It has things like layering and chroma keying, but it's less user-friendly and tends to be very unstable.

I have the trial of the professional, and I made a short movie in Blockland to test it. Worked fine, I made it a movie file (.wmv). I try to watch it with Windows Media Player. I see, like, a half second of the movie. Not the full movie. Is this something that you must have the full version for, or is it just messed up?

Also, Wax sucks.

Use Corel Video Studio Pro X3. It's only 90 dollars, and it can do greenscreen, nice proffesional effects and transitions, etc.

Uncheck "render loop region only" before you render it.

I did.

Can I ask a question here?

I'm going to go ahead and ask, but if you tell me to remove it, I will.

Who knows of some free Chroma-key software?
Just Choma-key. I'd rather have that alone.

It's not the software that makes good movies, it has to be you.

Windows movie maker ftw  :cookieMonster:

Corel Video Studio Pro X3 has Chroma-key which is how I use greenscreen. There's a trial version if you want to try it.

I'll check it out.

Sony Vegas, like Eksi said. Do it.

That's what I'm using. The trial.

OH

I misread it at first. No, I didn't uncheck. I'll try it now and see if it works.
