Author Topic: Success at last! BP has stopped the oil spill  (Read 4900 times)

Don't celebrate yet. BP has yet to pay much compensation and there is still a loving stuffLOAD of oil in the gulf that needs to be cleaned up.

Not to mention the caustic chemical dispersants they're using.

It might not be a permanent fix though. Since if any oil goes into the bedrock they have to reopen it or it will break open the ocean floor and we will be perma banned.
I had to, I am sorry.

Some BP diver is going to manage to trip underwater and knock the cap off because that's just how ridiculous this is

I need something clever to say. Oh well.

BP just needs to clean up their stuff now and not accidentally BREAK THE PIPE AGAIN AND OH NO I GOT OIL IN MY MOUTH.

Regulations and Standards are going to start clamping down on BP even harder then before. :D

You idiot.

They are organic.

Big deal. They break down very fast because most of them are salt based.

Mhm, definitely not toxic at all!

So basically all it does is split up oil, making it hard to pick up AND keep it underwaterinstead of letting it float where they can pick it up
right

Pretty much. Not to mention that it's known to cause severe health issues like hemolysis and potential internal bleeding.

They should make a machine on a boat that sucks in hundreds of gallons of water every second and separates oil from water.

Engineers don't like it when you think they can do anything and expect them to solve everything.
