This is an official topic about alien life.

What do you think they will be like?
What technological level are they in/Or not.
 Are they friendly?
How will they respond to us?
How will we respond to them?
What is your understanding of life?
What if they are more intelligent than us, can they do something that we cannot?

:Please no religious bullstuff saying we are the only people here:
:Please no primitive stuff saying we are in the center of the universe:

Well, they wouldn't attack us, intelligent aliens wouldn't use up tons of resources to take over a planet. Even if they could warp through space, I'd imagine that would use tons of energy.

What do you think they will be like?

Not little green men. Weird things that we have never seen before, that depend on materials we don't know of, and they have six eyes and tentacles or something.

What technological level are they in/Or not.

About the level of most of our common animals, or maybe up to primates.

Are they friendly?

If simple animal instincts and/or implanting an embryo in your throat is considered friendly.

How will they respond to us?

With fear, at first. Then they may grow more and more used to us. They may even become aggressive.

How will we respond to them?

Probably try to study them, then get tired of trying to be peaceful and blow the living stuff out of their planet. Or maybe not.

What is your understanding of life?

Does not compute.

What if they are more intelligent then us, can can they do that we cannot?

We could probably negotiate with them, and form an alliance, or screw something up and they'll exterminate our whole race.

Denying the fact there is much more intelligent life then us out there is just nonsense, and quite self centered.

Hubble Deep Feild
In that tiny section of our sky, there are approximately 3000 galaxies if I remember correctly. And thats only what we can see. If you use our own galaxy as a model, each galaxy probably has about one billion+ stars and even more planets. And thats only a tiny, tiny section of space. Also the ingredients for life are abundant across the known universe, originating from billions and billions of dieing stars. To say life hasn't sprung up across the universe is just stupid. If it can happen, it will happen, given time. And I can guarantee it has happened, it is happening, and I'm almost certain there are multiple species out there who evolved like we did, but are much further down the road. With technology we would consider magic.

 MAGIC IS BLASPHEMY!

What do you think they will be like?
Either a nomad-like warlike species, like the aliens from Independence Day or The Covenant, or a highly-sophisticated alien species that will attempt to make peace. The chances are much higher for the warlike species
What technological level are they in/Or not.
In human years equivalent, probably 2000+ years ahead
 Are they friendly?
Most likely, no.
How will they respond to us?
By glassing our planet
How will we respond to them?
By dying
What is your understanding of life?
Absent on earth after they find us
What if they are more intelligent than us, can they do something that we cannot?
Teleportation, directed energy weapons, super-energy weapons of mass destruction, multi-dimensional transportation, lightspeed transportation, mass resource collecting tools, shielding technology...

Depending on what type of planet they evolved on, their appearance could be drastically different from ours. Badass like Sangheli or Xenomorphs or predators, or handicapped like E.T. or Hanar.

 EETEEE GROOIN HOOORN

Why do all the loving alien pictures have to be scarycreepy? Why can't people just look like us like in stargate? Fuuuu.

Because the factors of evolution and specific adaptation/variation of their species on this whole different planet would yield a different result.

Edit, I will run a gene simulator that mimics adaptation, variation, and evolution.

It will be the same exact set of starting genes, but I will slightly change the enviroment of one of them, and you will see that the variations will change.

They will probably be very primitive or a microbe.

Should I make a whole new topic about Specie Variation, showing that aliens would be much different then man, or should I just post results here?
