Author Topic: Look for RC helicopter and camera kit (UAV)  (Read 2078 times)

I'm looking for a decent, hopefully cheap RC Helicopter and wireless camera kit, to fly around here and view from a laptop. I plan on using it for recreation, mostly airsoft, but it won't be shot at. Anyone good at RC stuff? I need some suggestions.

you can get the heli here: http://www.hobbytron.com/RCCarsandMore.html and ebay can give you a cheap Cam i got one from there it worked great untill my sis found i was watching her get the cat high and broke it that was when 9 here is ebay: http://www.ebay.com/

The cheapest I've seen one of these for was like 300 bucks, but this was a few years ago.

edit: and it didn't even give a video feed, which is what I'm guessing you want. it just did timelapse photography below it :I

I need a kit, you can't just tape a camera to an rc helicopter.

I'm sure there's one out there, but I honestly doubt it'd be in anyone's price range who just wants it for recreation.

Well in theory you could just do that.  :cookieMonster:

That is SUCH a cool idea.

I'm also not sure any RC heli on the market will be agile / easy to manuever enough for use on a battlefield.

I have a friend who does this stuff (puts cameras on remote controlled aircraft) but I don't think he uses helicopters.

You would probably use one to spy on Justin Beiber, you child enthusiast.

It's only meant to fly up high to get an aerial view. We play on a large spot of land so being able to see it from the air would be excellent.

I think a better idea would be to place a pole in the center of the playing area with a wireless webcam on top, and therefore anyone with a laptop on either team can access it.

You should mount nerf rockets on it for lols.

Also, there are those sport cameras, but they're meant for going on helmets, and they don't give back live feed to a computer or anything...
Those kits are available, I've seen them be used before.
