Author Topic: Computer repair business  (Read 1674 times)

My parents are forcing me to start a business in Computer Repair, since I know quite  a bit about hardware and software plus I've managed to fix and speed up the six computers that people have already sent me.

So I made this

And now I have to think up a clever ad I can make.

Machintosh computers?

Eh whatever, you should start that business in a retirement area, and you will get tons of people sending in computers that just have unplugged keyboards.

Here's what I do, and what you should do to get some good business. If your parents have one of their friends over, steer them into the direction of computers, and they'll mostly say "OH MY (son/daughter) GOES ON THESE STUPID SITES AND DOWNLOADS A BUNCH OF CRAP NOW MY COMPUTER IS SLOW!"

That's where you get the paper. Sometimes in my case I'll be like, "I can build you a nice decent computer, just tell me what you want in it and all you'll have to do is pay for parts and labor."

Over the past 3 years I've made about 2 grand just in labor to my parents friends. It's really simple because they're really computer illiterate and say "OH I DON'T WANT NO FANCY stuff." so I get about the cheapest parts.

Just get a job doing it and start a business once you get older.

what makes people want to let a 16 year old kid repair their computer when they can get adults to do it?

Completely true, but it could be a fun experience if people use his business to fix something.  It can be as well as very successful in the future.  Although I highly doubt it, but its a very fun experience :D
