How do I rotate something on Sketchup?

Does anyone know how to rotate something on google sketchup without it getting all screwed up,
Like just making it change directions???

if your trying to change your view, or look around your thingy, then your gonna want to use the Orbit tool. If your trying to move the model itself, then i have no idea.
