New laptop

I just bought a new laptop at Best Buy today. It's a Toshiba Satellite A665 (latest model) for $680.

Specs:
Processor - Intel i3 @ 2.27GHz w/ hyperthreading
Memory - 4GB DDR3
Graphics - Intel HD Media Accelerator
HDD - 500GB @ 7200rpm
Display - 16" full 720p
Audio - harman/kardon HD surround sound
Built-in high-def 1.3 MP 720p webcam and microphone

Not the absolute best laptop, but it'll suffice for my current needs. I'll mostly be using it for school and some non-intensive gaming (Blockland).

Also, what are your guys' opinions on Kaspersky Internet Security 2010? Pretty much every single Best Buy rep we talked to about security said "Go with Kaspersky." Is it really "the best"?

Best Buy reps try to sell you the most expensive option, not necessarily the best option. I hear Kaspersky is good though, and I've also heard good things about Avast. Maybe somebody else can tell you what the best AV is, I don't even use one.

Yeah, you really have to play hard-to-get with reps at almost any major electronics retailer.

i have advast i would get it if you have not gotten anything yet. its on 24/7 as long is your PC is not shut down and is always scanning :)

EDIT: Kaspersky has always been the 2nd best Antivirus according to Top 10 Records (I dont have the link now).

i have advast i would get it if you have not gotten anything yet. its on 24/7 as long is your PC is not shut down and is always scanning :)

I've already installed Kaspersky, and it, too, constantly scans the computer.
