Author Topic: SS - Hypocrisy and stupidity at its finest.  (Read 3417 times)

NOTE: this is not directed at any of SS's moderators, administrators, or members specifically.  It simply refers to SS's system of administration as a whole.

SS (directly referring to its state in Blockland) produces several fine builds, and scripts (most, of which, are rather corrupt, to be frank).  However, their forms of dealing with members is that of an absolute outrage.  The system of banning/kicking, from an administrator on an SS server, requires one to abide by a set of rules DIRECTLY, without using even the smallest amount of basic judgement to assess the current status of the player.  Arguing is also forbidden within their system of moderation.  Which, if obviously closely looked at, makes no sense at all.  One of the very common ways in which to get a point accross is to argue.  Sometimes, arguments can even resolve conflict that would issue a ban/kick. However, that's simply popular standard.  This is where the hypocrisy comes in.  It is stated within the rules that cussing is a bannable offense, and will be taken as such once a moderator/administrator views a player producing the language.  This is a rule based off of popular standard.  If this rule is going to be used, then why not allow for arguments?  They are, by popular standard, a very solid and presentable format in which to solve conflict.  SS has simply become a system of strict, and unintelligent rule based factors.  At this point, it has become very easy to compare it to the US educational system.

I'm not posting this on the SS forum due to the large amount of members who are biased towards SS.

SS is stuff. Thats all I have to say.

And their dogfight is too slow paced. Every time I join it seems as though there is never any action going on, and no dogfighting.

Well, Lalam, you're an orange

Also, damn miniguns.

Stop quoting things without even giving a comment.
You're stupid.

Now dumbasses will quote this image and copy and pasta it.

1) SS (directly referring to its state in Blockland) produces several fine builds, and scripts (most, of which, are rather corrupt, to be frank).

2) The system of banning/kicking, from an administrator on an SS server, requires one to abide by a set of rules DIRECTLY, without using even the smallest amount of basic judgement to assess the current status of the player.

3) Arguing is also forbidden within their system of moderation.

4) It is stated within the rules that cussing is a bannable offense, and will be taken as such once a moderator/administrator views a player producing the language.  This is a rule based off of popular standard.

1) The scripts remain unreleased for a reason. Everything is under developement. Once scripts become stable, they are released.

2) The banning and kicking system is a guideline. Most active moderators do not need to see information because they are informed of the player by being there. If not, there is background, and the victim of the ban is allowed to develope a valid argument.

3) Arguing without reason is frowned upon. Creating an academic argument with valid points and reason will be heard. The moderation team will not sit and listen to idoits babble.

4) This rule is based off of the fact that there are many young users. Although most of them probably do curse, some do not. Either way, we like a clean community. Excessive cursing can leave the impression that the player is angry or upset, and cannot control their emotions.

1) The current TDM script has been released in the SS forums, regardless of the many bugs that it contains.  Regardless, that isn't the point.  The scripts themselves hardly ever have any work done on them, when they've been in place for nearly a year now.

2) It may be a guideline, but it is not treated as such.  Again, I was removed from the administration team from a combination of arguing and using my own judgement to form bans/kicks.  This not including heavily biased factors.

3) This is not true.  The administration team has stated that an argument should be ignored, regardless of the circumstances.

4) I've stated the cussing issue to use as a comparison for the point on arguing.  Try not to nitpick next time.

I never remember seeing the TDM released on SS forums.

Oh nevermind, I found it.
