(WARNING: religious-based arguing topic)
The other day, a specific friend of mine was rambling on about someone in a server pestering him for being homoloveual.  Then trying to "convert" him to christianity via the RTB IRC.  Today, whilst playing in a deathmatch, I saw the person who had been pestering him.  I asked him if he were that specific person, however, his response was no.  I followed up by saying I must've forgotten the name.  Then this occured:

he probably isnt the person then.

Ohdear. Once again, I have to say, this situation wasn't handled that well on either end. Though it wasn't really a situation in the first place. A conversation, actually. It's not even worth to be a drama topic that much in my opinion. It was just a small tiff.

Maybe you should read the IRC, where he decided to randomly say that he was the person.

Oh?  I was simply stating points that don't abide by any specific end, but are mere fact.  His response was to ignore me, which is a simple tactic in the world of "I can't handle the truth, shut up!"

Basically, you pestered him about religion after he pestered someone else about religion?

my bad.

I kinda think you rambled on.

But I hate family men.

And I hate people that are like "we must save you."

if Jesus was forgiving he wouldn't burn people in a lake of fire for eternity.

He pestered someone about his religious views, where as I used common knowledge and basic fact to simply state that he should quit it.

Yes, but how is it our business to point this out.
It's not like Jehovah's Witnesses approach you on the street and heckle you about Our Savior and all that jazz. So why must Atheists do the same? Why can they get away with it?

There's your problem. Your ignorant.
Religion is nice because people can tell themselves that doing good has a payoff in the end besides being nice in general. If we are all going to rot in a box when we die, why be nice? Seriously?
Common knowledge and basic fact to a Christian person is "God created everything".

You originally were going to talk to him about the "ridiculousness" of him trying to convert a person. That's fair enough, people shouldn't try to convert others in a spiritual aspect. And granted, he did ignore you. But then, you're the one who said:

Quote
You should let someone who doesn't believe in anything alone.
Shouldn't it apply both ways?

Lol

There's your problem.  You're arrogant.
A human being shouldn't need motivation to contribute to the human race.  Other people want to live, and be respected.  That's why one should be kind to another.
Again, common knowledge completely disaproves of christianity.  Christianity simply does not abide by its own standards.

Shouldn't it apply both ways?
Christianity lies around a strict system of set rules, where as, I don't believe in a specific concept.  I simply believe in nothing, and keep myself open to new ideas, whilst not abiding by them 100%.  The only real proof of anything is mathematics, for it is the only absolute in the universe.  I don't follow up with science, evolution, etc, for it is all theory.  Sure, some of it is reasonable, but I will never use it to forward myself in an argument.

right here. no, I dont believe that because Im a nihilist

You don't have to believe in it, it's fact.  You can't disprove mathematics, even if you're from an entirely different system where you've never heard of ours, 2 plus 2 will always equal 4.
