Author Topic: My HTC HD2 has Android  (Read 737 times)

I've been using it for about a week now. It's still an unfinished build that runs from the SD card, but most everything works. This is amazing considering less than a month ago it was deemed impossible to even boot into the linux kernel.

What's left to be finished:
-Keypad backlight
-Indicator LED
-Internal memory storage
-GPS
-Ambient Light Sensor
-Optimizing battery usage

Here's the current development discussion thread:

I was thinking about getting an HTC TouchPro2 for my next phone, but I don't know if that'll be happening anytime soon... :/

I want android for my Dell Axim x51, but there are no builds for it :c.

EDIT: I can run it on my netbook though :3.

I've seen Android on iPhones too.

Android is an OS for phones or something, right? I don't know much about this whole next-gen-smartphone thing but it looks pretty awesome.

My HTC Touch Pro runs Android as well, runs from the SD card.

It's really neat running Android on devices that were meant to run Windows Mobile.

Well that explains it.  I want it on my droid :[

Also worth noting, that's a photo of my actual phone.
