Why the forget are there so many CAT pictures?

Seriously, I've been going around the forums for once, and kept seeing cat pictures like "LOLCATS" or "I APPROVE OF THIS POST" or "THIS HAS COME TO MY INTEREST"
What has happened to you people?
I mean, cats once or twice is ok, but on almost loads of topics?
loving hell, just stop with these cat pictures.
I have a feeling they're like the alts of furries.
