Author Topic: My New Keyboard  (Read 1874 times)

Hey, people. I got $40 for my half-birthday, and decided to put it towards this sweet gaming keyboard. I thought it looked cool, and the $40 was a gift card to ThinkGeek. The keyboard was about the only this there was on the site that wouldn't be a waste of money.
- Metal plated WASD, space bar, and arrows
- 12 settable macro keys, on the side
- Ability to turn the background light on and off, and change the color, from the keyboard itself
- "Cyborg mode," turns on a special light configuration, turns off the Windows button (for gaming)
I think there's more, but I can't remember. Was this a good buy? It should be coming tomorrow.

@Mage - My birthday is January 16th. I celebrated my half-birthday, six months later, on July 16th. There are no gift holidays during the summer. c;

._.

I have the Eclipse III, the "sister" to the Cyborg keyboard. I really like it, it has the same touch-panel that the Cyborg has, but lights up different colors than the Cyborg (Blue/purple/red).

I think you'll really like it.

Looks cool and sounds like it would work well.

@Miga - If I were going to a store, I'd definitely consider it. But I ordered it off of ThinkGeek. Blue/Purple/Red sounds better than amber/orange/red/green, though. I like the darker colors...
@Nick - Yeah, well, I'm hoping. 50 bucks and a $40 gift card went into it.

The mouse is awesome, but it needs to be a trackball.
The keyboard looks like a step down from the Cyborg...

And since when do people get stuff for half birthdays?

I don't know. I just decided I wanted free stuff during the summer, and half-jokingly told my mom we should celebrate half-birthdays. July 16th, she calls me into the kitchen, and my family was there with marble cake and a $40 ThinkGeek gift card. I was like, "what."
Edit: Ace, I've got a small desk area, and I actually prefer Trackballs. I actually wish there was a higher variety, maybe with Mouse4, Mouse5, etc. buttons.

BAAHAHHA

trackballs are so unresponsive :I
Only if the rollers get clogged. Which they do for my old mouse.
