Author Topic: I nearly had a brush with a virus.  (Read 742 times)

A few minutes ago, I was minding my business, surfing the forums, when I got a warning from AVG. I checked it out, quarantined, ran a scan and found nothing. Then, about ten minutes later, I went to go sort my laundry. A came back and saw that my mouse was faintly moving and I wasn't touching it. I got scared so I ended all processes and shut down my computer. I went into Safe Mode and everything looked okay so I'm running another scan to be sure.

A lesson learned, I'm never using IE ever again.

Your mouse was moving so it scared you.

...

IE blows anyway.

Now why would the mouse be moving faintly?

Tom Gunn posted a link to a website with viruses on it earlier, do you think it was that?

My cursor has a seizure if you flip the mouse upside down.

Sometimes my mouse moves on it's own. I've never heard of a virus that does that.

Oh, I'm handicapped. I checked my mouse sensitivity settings and they were on high. If I even blow on it with those settings, my mouse moves, due to me using a track pad.
