Author Topic: A Good Computer for Me?  (Read 771 times)

Well, since I have been saving all year, and that my parents are chipping in a couple hundred dollars, I am closely reaching my goal for a new 700$-900$ desktop. I have been browsing new egg for some pre-built desktops, and have found a couple good choices, and was wondering what you guys think about them.

My favorites so far:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883147086 (Graphics card on this is one of those "Budget" cards)

Keep in mid that I am not that tech savvy when it comes to components other than RAM, processor, and some graphics cards, so if you find a specification that might not work well with my common computing tasks (see below) , please tell me.

What I will use this computer for:

Mid level gaming (Games like Oblivion, Fallout 3, Valve games, on Medium settings)

Internet browsing (Ex: Youtube, Blockland Forums, Facebook, Flash games, with 2-3 tabs open up at a time max)

School Work (almost any computer can do this)

Other Notes: If you want to suggest a better computer for under 900$, Please note that I have a good spare mouse/keyboard/monitor, so those are not essential. I would prefer a Windows Vista or Windows 7 OS.

The third one is best.

Ah, I'll take that as a note. Might add a poll.

Also, I find it funny how they consider a computer with 6gb of RAM, an HD GPU, and a quad core processor a home computer (second one)

It has a card reader and its case doesn't look like total stuff, both of these features would be missing from a gaming pc.

I might get the one Nick said to get.

Yeah go for the third one.
