Poi is a silly goose. I knew him well, he's even my friend. c:
The only real issue I have with him is the same one I have with a great amount people on the internet and numerous in real life. He has a disregard for other people's thoughts and feelings. Many people do, sadly, exploit others and manipulate situations in order for their own self-admiration while giving a total disregard to how what they are doing effects others negatively.
I don't know if or if not Poi "hacked" Tom, but I truthfully wouldn't be surprised if he had. He is a nice person and fun to be around at time, but he just doesn't always consider and or care, at least in Blockland, how his actions effects another so long as it amuses him.
