The music you hear nowadays is repetitive, unimaginative garblemensch. It seems that songwriters can get away with repeating the melody over and over just because the lyrics are different. This is why I listen to underground musicness. Sounds great and it's free.

To be honest I believe that all the new music is really just trying to appeal to society to group people and make people want to fit in with said groups.
I don't believe that they want to make people truly excited about the feel to the music.
I also believe that some games do not follow this same trend. There are some songs in games that really set the mood right and don't try to just sound 'cool' so mindless zombies will go apestuff fanboy/girl over it.

I feel the same way with Twighlight. I also feel that Twighlight ruined books for me because I got to the book store and it takes me like 5 hours to find one book that isn't about vampires. I am also not exagorating.

I listened to "Leaving On A Jet Plane" and "Roam" from a band when I was on vacation. It had a really nice beat to it. In fact I think their version of it was better than the original after watching the originals on youtube. Sometimes it's good to combine modern music with old cultural music but most of the times it doesn't work out. Like Jamican music and Rap. That... Was... Interesting...

Queen is good. I play Don't Stop Me Now with hldj when we're doing 4 vs 4 with friends on the finale in l4d2. The music 99% of the time will end right at the perfect moment. Don't know why but it usually does.
