Author Topic: fu ubuntu  (Read 1800 times)

For the last two days I have been trying to install ubuntu onto an old powermac g4 through a 1gb usb flash drive. After waiting a handicappedly long time for the computer to stop showing the ubuntu logo with 4 scrolling dots under it it prompts me to install. After selecting language I come to the point where it asks "Where are you?". After selecting my location the loading cursor comes up and then nothing. It's been stuck at the "where are you" screen for a couple hours now.

Any ideas?

He said he just finished setting up Ubuntu but, the part where it loads the cursor (with the black screen) was loading for over an hour.

It's not that hard to understand, starfish. You don't need to let us all know how illiterate you are.

what. how does that have anything to do with anything else in this thread.

Try installing different versions of linux and see if you can get any to work. you could also try burning it to a CD and seeing if it works that way.

That sounds bad. Good luck fixing it :(.
