Author Topic: Is this fair?  (Read 3290 times)

last year i got an Asus U20A with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 240m. A couple of weeks ago there was an incident where a little kid spilled water on it and fried the whole thing. i have the best buy lemon policy, and i got my new laptop yesterday. When i was playing garry's mod i noticed something strange, i was only running at 15 fps rather than the normal 50 i would get. i decided to check it out and found out they gave me the most basic intel gma graphics card. All of the other specs are the exact same. Is this legal? if it is i might think about returning it. Both of the laptops were priced around 1200 dollars.

fair? not really

did you read the fine print on this "policy" ?

The policy defines that if you have to get 3 or more repairs to your laptop they will replace it with the most up to date version of that laptop (not everything just the OS) if this is true, and they did rip me off, will this mean i have the right to sue?

jesus christ people stop flooding the topic with stuff.

stop putting meaningless stuff on this i want answers.

Just go to the store and talk to them about it, you're not going to take any legal action, and even if you did nothing would come out of it.

and this is hair

Oh my god that looks like Ellen Degenerous's hair.

This isn't related really, and I hope it doesn't make you feel bad, but my computer I just built runs this one simulation at 77 fps instead of the max 20 fps it had before.

That's the internet for you.

Lemon policies only cover defective products.

hahahahah lawsuits

The cost of a lawsuit would be more than the compensation you'd get.

also lol Best Buy, they've got terrible support. If they don't give you the proper laptop after calling them or showing up in the store and demanding a refund, you're forgeted.
