Author Topic: I'm in need of a graphics card.  (Read 5026 times)

Yes i know there is a lot of topics about getting new graphics cards. But I'm in need of one. My price range is from $60-$80. I don't need a outstanding one. ( only If there is one in my price range ;p ) But one that will be able to run Team fortress and Left for dead 2 fine. The card i have now is a Intel(R) 82945G Express chip set Family. I know it sucks. If someone can find me one it would be appreciated. Thanks.

9400 GT, That's what I'm using right now.

Radeons have compatiblity issues in my cause, I wouldn't use them. And yes a 9400gt can pretty much run everything on Medium To High settings other than games like Arma II.

This looks good. If you don't have problems with any of the games that should be good. Thanks

in your cause? What do you try to do with radeons? I haven't had a single compatibility issue except for ICP, and even that can be fixed with a simple driver reversion.

Make sure you don't make a decision too quick though. For 80 dollars you might be able to find a better card, my budget was 60.

Just the fact that most games are built for nvidias and I have had cases of texture tearing with my radeon. Only game that I've had texture tearing with my nvidia is that new Kane And Lynch game demo.

I see you are using Radeons from the 14th century?

haha is that even possible.
Nope, but you can and should download drivers.

Well the card was kinda old but it was solid enough to run any source game on decent settings.

Yeah, I downloaded one.
Thats a graphics drive, a graphics card is a literal chip
