Because I like the ew and you don't?

Or maybe because we've stated that it is an impossibility, several times?

You cannot rotate blocks at any other angle than 90 degrees. They are not .dts shapes anymore. You can't rotate them the same way anymore. They are their own format.

Through really clever editing, you might be able to create a block that is naturally oriented at 45 degrees. But you would have to code an entire new brick position system, and allow bricks to be placed inside each other. Then release it as the 45 degree mod or something.

yea I'm talking about stretching k.

There is no need to stretch them. You can create a block of infinite dimensions (theoretically anyway, you will eventually break torque) by creating a new block.

As for stretching them, bricks are not models anymore. You can't scale or transform them, they are stuck at the dimensions. This is because the game interprets the brick information, and creates the model itself. If you suddenly decide to stretch it, the game would have to make a new model.

Then building is going to be limited. At least rotation is realistic.

We don't let the fact that we cannot realistically construct a model of a tesseract, let alone properly illustrate it on a sheet of paper, keep us from constructing sky scrapers and statues.

Jesus Christ, Kaphix, read the entire topic before you post.

THEY ARE BLOODY BLOCKS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!
in rtb its a mod (actually im pro ew) and can be accepted
btu sence the main game is about bricks then it will have bricks
if you still want ew then you will have to find a new way to make/use it

actually im pro ew
Lol. And yes, it will be relatively easy to port the EW into retail, unless Badspot's made massive changes in that area of coding.

...
um...
yeah....
did you not see the big explanation fo the bricks being different?

Did you not read what Wedge said...

hey, its not our fault if we're just too damn awesome for you guys!  :cookieMonster:
lol ya
and HDA has a realy good idea

Dammit Jirue, stop bumping!
