Author Topic: Get-rich-quick scenario: Pine furniture.  (Read 2074 times)

A while back I made 3 pieces of furniture in Wood Shop at highschool. I built a coffee table, a jam cabinet and a toolbox - all purely build from fresh unpainted, untreated wood. They all had various styling and were properly finished and sanded.

I had no use for them so my dad told me to sell them on Kijiji, a website similar to eBay except it's like an online garage sale.

When I asked him for what price I should put them at, he said $200 each.

I called bullstuff. Selling a few chunks of wood for that price is ridiculous. But he insisted, and apparently he knows best in my house, so I did.

That was yesterday.

Four people want to buy the whole set now.

Some of these guys are in desperate need of pine furniture so that it can match the furniture they have in their house, and paint them however they want.

In short, I'm getting $600 tomorrow at some random time depending on who wants the set the most.

DISCUSS. :D

Desperate people will do whatever it takes for food some teak and pinewood.

No teak. Just fresh pine. They just want it fresh and untouched. :D

Are you ?

Yessssss.

And it's not all that hard to do... I'm going to make more of them. It takes me like an hour to make one and overnight for it to sit while the mortices glue.

Money for Blockland,

All around!

Be really careful that you don't open a wormhole while trying to make a coffee table.

is the pic in the op a pic of your work?

You can buy 30 Blockland keys with all the money.

Keep doing that and you will make a ton of money, as well as your own furniture.

Did you just get the pinewood at home depot? My dad has a garage full of woodworking stuff, and made this bar :D
