Author Topic: People cant connect to my server STRANGE  (Read 1233 times)

Ive been messing around with the crappy new UPnP support, since the GOOD old portforwarding doesnt seem to work properly anymore. So after editing my DHCP pool, blockland finally found the router connected to my dedi. People can connect, but it gets stuck at sending punch packets most of the time. How do i fix this?

Badspot: revert back to the old stable way of hosting servers. This will get rid of the stuffload of newb servers too

This is what i see in the console:

Port forwarding should work just as fine as it did before. If it doesn't, you did something wrong.

I dont do something wrong, blockland does. Everything worked fine before, and the dedi is also running a webserver and a teamspeak server, wich everyone can connect to.

Troubleshoot before you post stupid topics. Told this to three people now.

i think shortly after he made that update, he said he would ban anybody who complained :D

Hi phflack, living evidence that my server used to run fine :)

So heres the thing, with UPnP on and portforwards disabled, some can join, some cant
With UPnP Off, and ports forwarded, same thing

Conclusion: Theres a flaw in the network part of blockland. I cant even join my own server sometimes using the internet server list!

No, he said he'd ban anyone who complained about the increase of stupid servers because of the update.

took a look at the way it connects. This is what the console says (see screenshot)

My IP is 81.206.92.83, running at port 28009

EDIT: Also, i just noticed the APIPA ip adress at the top of the "possible" list. Where does that come from?

wat?

Got my ports forwarded now instead of UPnP. (Actually set it as default server) Still some people cannot connect. Also, it doesnt show a ping. I dont know if the ping is handled by the blockland server. Ive allowed WAN ICMP ping and allowed pinging in my firewall. Same problem with firewall turned off. I've tried every possible way. Theres clearly something going on here. Help?

I know its drastic, but i ordered a new router/modem. It has been bugging me before.
