More work on Chapter 2:

During my work hours, or whatever you wanted to call it, I snuck into the auditorium and began assembling my podium. There were three others there of higher officials I've never met, but one name stood out. The podium was a large metallic stand with sides. On the front was the name TING etched into the plating. The auditorium lights turned on. I turned to see Tom standing in the main entrance.

"Thinking of running for Co-Leader?" He said with a slight anger in his voice.

I hesitated to answer. I knew I was supposed to be in my cubicle. "Um... Yeah."

Tom smiled. "I see you've noticed Ting is running as well."

"What happened to ARES?"

"Comrade decided enough was enough and shut it down. Most of it's members joined a new organization called BAN. The rest of them came here."

"And their ship?"

"Sitting in a hangar."

I stood there holding my hammer. I looked back at my unconstructed podium, then back at Tom. The face on his screen helmet stared seriously at me.

"Well I'll let you get back to work."

I nodded at started to go back to the intern building.

"Where are you going? I meant work on your podium..."

I turned around to see his his serious face had become a slight smile.

"And good luck to you!" He said as he walked out.

I stood there confused on what just happened. I quickly got over it and continued work on my podium.
