Port forwarding (please help)

How can i port forward with ZyXel? im just asking i have tryed everything (i think) but i dont get it... but can someone please help me? i soo much want to host a server.

not everyone can host a server... but the most should be able... but i could host servers before i got a new router...

If it's a Zyxell, give up. Not going to work. I just bought a new router to replace my Zyxell.

http://portforward.com/ scroll down to the Zyxell bit, select model, follow simple instructions.
However, I would suggest you find the "Enable UPnP" in your router rather than Port Forwarding (it's easier).

If you do port forward, make sure you disable UPnP in your Blockland (options somewhere).

He's correct, anyone can. All they have to do is enable UPnP.

Some routers (such as airports) do not support UPnP, thus you still have to port forward. He's also not correct in the fact that he assumes because "Everyone can host a working internet server" that you don't have to do anything for it to work (lock).

So macs have to Port Forward. (I'm still using my mac because our old PC crashed and I don't know how to PF on a mac)

Port forwarding and anything like that all depends on the router, if you can port forward on windows, the method should be the same on a mac.
The only router I am aware of having a different method than "IP in favorite browser" is the airport series, in Macs the program is inbuilt, in windows you can download the program.

Have a look at the "How to port forward on a mac" sticky, it's actually how to port forward an airport on a mac.... but meh.
