Recently I downloaded mIRC but then found out i need to buy a license to keep it. So I'm looking for a better one that doesn't suck, any ideas?

Chatzilla is good too, you can run it as an addon for firefox or standalone on xulrunner.

If you want IRC bundled in with AIM/MSN/YIM/etc, use Trillian or Pidgin. Their irc clients are adequate, if lacking in features.

OK so i asked on minecraft IRC and it seems mIRC doesn't force you to buy it when the trial run out so ill use it, thanks anyway.
