When I have my headphones on and my brother tries to talk to me about something it pisses me off. He'll keep blabbing until I yell to him that I have headphones on.

He should've noticed all those times, I'm not using earbuds, I have big, over-the-ear headphones that are hard to miss.

Prove to me how this is garbage. The musicianship is incredible, listen to each instrument individually, to call this garbage would be calling bands like Yes garbage. The only difference is the choice of scales and the vocal style (Which in itself is very difficult to do right and make sound right. I myself have been training myself in growling for 5 years and still have progress to make).

Not liking a certain type of music doesn't make it garbage, it makes it music that you do not enjoy.

By the way you did a good job of picking a heavy metal band that sucks (As I Lay Dying) I could easily choose a song you don't like in your genre and call the whole genre garbage based on your logic.

It's not the excessive bass or repetitive guitar I hate, it's how growling off-beat to that makes it sound. People listen to it because either they were raised listening to it or just because it sounds cool to them.
