Yeah, found that out.

But I can't think of any other way to texture the brick.

You could try decals on all sides of a square block, or just stick with colored blocks. Possibly a hybrid: using prints for ores and everything else is just colored blocks.

If Pew teams up with Truce this will be awesome.

Why would I do that? I already have three completed and functional versions, I don't need to collaborate.

I understand prints, but don't prints have to be exactly the same on all sides?

Yep. The only issue you'll have is with grass. Have dirt blocks generate a green plate on top of them if they're at the surface or something. Turn raycasting off on grass so you mine straight through it and have the grass disappear when it's support brick is gone.

Tom

And then write a script that allows it to communicate with Creative Minecraft servers. It actually wouldn't be too hard, but I'm not sure how you would compress the map files.

And bookshelf.... Truce did it, it must be possible.

Do you plan on having a million bookshelves? Make a bookshelf block. Or just put the decal on the 4 sides and leave the top and bottom a normal brown brick.

Actually that goes for the grass too. You don't need to put decals on every side. Make the block brown and put a grass decal on top.

The shelves have wood on the top/bottom and books on the sides.

Edit:

Ohhhhh I get what you mean. Nevermind.

The sides have hanging grass also.

You don't need to show it.

Yeah, but I'd like it. How the hell did truce do it? His grass is perfectly textured.

This is what I had done in the picture I posted earlier in the thread; I connected to a Minecraft Creative server and spawned in the map, and that's why the terrain looks so authentic. The protocol isn't too hard to get down, and you don't actually need to do any compressing of the map files from a client perspective.

Lagless magic.

You can color the top of the brick with a green texture like the road bricks, assign your grass/dirt decal to the side, and then make the bottom of the brick brown.
