The tuner might be causing the problem.

There is still residual power remaining after you turn it off so it will continue to pick up stuff.

THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE!!!
All of my headphones have done it. Sennheisers, Sonys, etc
all of them.
Also James, it won't pick up cable if you have it set to HDMI unless you have a really stuffty TV, and this is Swholli we're talking about.

Cables can act as antennas, picking up radio of a certain frequency depending on the length and stuff.

My current speakers (Altec Lansing's) are EXTREMELY sensitive to radio waves. They not only pick up cell phones, my wireless print server (for internet) and even bluetooth, but often when there's a plane passing by, you can hear radio chatter that's coming from the plane.

The same thing happened with my brother's speakers (Logitech), but it was only for the planes (no wi-fi, bluetooth, etc) and it stopped after a year or so, never happened again.

Walkie talkie users playing team hide and seek tag, your computer picked up the signal, that explains GO,GO,GO!

Or counter-strike... in the street. This happened yesterday when some kids got toy guns and pretended to play counter-strike or so it sounded like.

One time I was posting somthing and suddenly i heard this come out of my speakers.

HEEELLLLOOOO

Probably picking up radio interference. Your old house was probably closer to the source.

You should stick your headphone jacks into Dolphin Blowholes and see if it translates their speech.
