Ipod apps- Itunes issues

So, I download most of my apps on my ipod via wifi, not my computer because it is more convenient, however none of the apps on my ipod are on my computer. My question is if there is a way to transfer the apps to my computer or not, in case my ipod needs to be reformatted because of a crash or something.
