I'm wondering if anyone here could give me some insight with a strange registry error I recently encountered when installing Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010 on my desktop, because I'm sure some of you know leagues more than I. The desktop is running Windows XP SP3, and we previously had Microsoft Office 2003. We recently purchased Office 2010 and as I was installing it, I ran into this:
I know some stuff about the registry, but not nearly enough to know how and why this error occurred. I simply clicked Ignore and continued with the installation. Later on, I encountered another error, but neglected to take another screenshot, and clicked Ignore again. It finished installing:
and it seems to have installed correctly. I'm wondering now, could those two registry errors cause any program in Office 2010 to not function correctly? I did try performing a Google search for this error, however the results did not return any information specific to my problem.
Anything I should/shouldn't do?
