I have been diagnosed with ADHD.  It's listed as a disability tee hee  hee
I remember somewhere Badspot said ADHD was bullstuff and was caused by parents not smacking their kids or something, and I definitely agree.

Ive always hated when people disrespect Helen Keller :(
Ex: That horrible song by 3OH!3 or whatever the hell their name is

Listen up, boy. I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of five. My parents hit me plenty, but it didn't stop me from running around, no. Now listen. Think of a young child. Easily distracted, often hyper. Yeah, sure, at a young age it's easy to think a child has ADD or ADHD. BUT AT LEAST A CHILD WITHOUT ADHD DOES HAVE SOME SORT OF CONTROL. If I child with ADHD is told to sit down and isn't loving strapped to the chair, THEY ARE GONE. But after childhood and once they become teenagers their good, right? WRONG. Yeah sure, someone with ADHD could easily get past the hyperactivity as they get older. However, in most cases the "smaller" symptoms that go along with ADHD and ADD get worse with age! These symptoms include:

1. Mild Short term memory loss.

2. Slow thought process.

3. Inability to think on the spot.

4. Insecurity around piers.

5. Focus problems.

6. Sloppy handwriting.

7. Laziness.

8. Procrastination.

9. Tardiness.

10. Insomnia.

There are many other symptoms that go along with ADHD and ADD, but I'm too lazy to type them right now.

Now, when a child with ADD or ADHD gets to middle school it is very likely that he or she will be recommended for a Special Education class. Now this is certainly not a bad thing, in fact in most cases if an ADD or ADHD child isn't given the support he or she requires in school, violent habits could form.

Over the course of ten years, I have learned to suppress most of the symptoms of my ADHD. Even so, every morning I still take a small orange pill to help control my ADHD.

ADD and ADHD aren't things that can be given to a child through a bad learning or growing environment, a child will acquire any or all attributes that it has when it is conceived. Because ADD and ADHD are hereditary.

ADHD is a way to categorize hyper children and children who don't want to mindlessly pay attention to stuff they don't care about, and with that categorization they have an excuse to drug up kids with amphetamines like Ritalin so that they stay still. Which have massive side effects to weight, sleep patterns, and your heart.

Then I have ADHD. These are all generic, run-of-the-mill, ambiguous "symptoms", all of which I exhibit. I have never even been considered diagnosed with any sort of disorder, although earlier this year I thought I might have dyscalculia.

I have ADHD too, But ADHD is mental health, not disability. Anyway this very important about disability ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) law act link: http://www.ada.gov/ If anyone discrimination to disability. Then Disability person can sue you or anyone drag into court. I wonder If badspot read this, I hope badspot can add to that faq rules for blockland to support all disability community forum here. I would be appreciated that.

Badspot could ban everyone who he thought had ADHD, or was deaf, or he thought was black, or whatever.
(not that he would, I don't think)
You couldn't sue him for banning you, because you agreed that you could be banned.

a lot of this stuff is so overdiagnosed it's not even funny.

I think ADHD is real, but terribly overdiagnosed. there are kids who tell me they have ADHD or I find out otherwise, and I believe it because of the way they act. ADHD symptoms are so general though, most-all of them are just general traits and not a disability.
