my headset for online doesnt work when i talk into it but when i press mute it makes sound anyone have the samne problem before?

How old is it? Does it get beat around a lot? What type/manufacturer/model?

I've never encountered any problems with mine.

Well are there any damaged wires? Did the mic ever get stepped on? Is it plugged in all the way?

ps3 are good xbox good only prob with xbox is red ring of death
